A Blind Hero: The Love of Otto Weidt
reveals the story of the blind Berlin brushmaker who daringly and cunningly rescued his blind and deaf Jewish employees from being sent to the camps by the Nazis. Otto Weidt is honored by
the Yad Vashem – Righteous Among the Nations.

A Blind Hero is a powerful docudrama of a little-known story of love, devotion, and selflessness of Otto Weidt, and his tragic love for Alice Licht as he embarks on a desperate journey to save her and her entire family from the gas chambers.

The film depicts Otto Weidt’s story with award-winning journalist, author, and Holocaust survivor Inge Deutschkron, providing her personal story of Weidt’s efforts to save her, her mother, and the rest of his employees from the Nazis.

Winner of awards around the world, “A Blind Hero: The Love of Otto Weidt” is called the Blind Schindler, savior of hundreds of Jews.
