Join Susan Arbetter, Director, News and Public Affairs at WCNY and Host of The Capitol Pressroom and panelists Gerald Benjamin, Associate Vice President for Regional Engagement and Director of the Benjamin Center for Public Policy Initiatives at SUNY New Paltz and Peter Galie, professor emeritus of political science at Canisius College in Buffalo for a thoughtful discussion of the history of the New York State Constitution, including its original creation and adoption in 1777, new constitutions adopted at conventions in 1821 and 1846, and the current constitution, ratified in 1894 and often amended since then.
