Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your special someone in the splendor of one of Albany’s most historic homes as the Albany County Historical Association presents a Valentine’s Day Jazz Party at the Ten Broeck Mansion on Thursday, February 14th at 7pm. Enjoy delicious food, live music, champagne, dancing and more among the opulence and history of this great house.

Guests will be treated to the delicious taste stylings of chefs Josh Coletto, owner of Nighthawks Restaurant in Troy, and Dominic Russomanno through an array of hot and cold passed hors d'oeuvres, tasting stations and sweet desserts. Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne as well as wine and beer. “Josh has been our Valentine’s Dinner caterer for years and people rave about his food,” says ACHA Executive Director Samantha Hall-Saladino, “and we’re thrilled to have him back this year after the launch of his successful new restaurant.”

Also returning for the event is renowned cabaret performer Veronica Klaus who will fill the house with a variety of Jazz standards as guests dance the evening away in the mansion’s parlors. Ms. Klaus performed a sold-out show at the mansion this past November. “We are so excited to have her back,” says Saladino.

There will be even more fun things to find as couples explore the two main floors of the mansion, including sampling stations from local businesses Albany Distilling Co. and Primo Botanica Botanical Chocolate. Says Saladino: “Both Johnny (Curtain) of Albany Distilling and Oliver (Holecek) from Primo Botanica are creating something special for guests to sample. We’re so excited to present these local companies to our guests.”

There will also be a drawing and other fun games and prizes and each couple will receive a complimentary photograph taken in the mansion. “Just about every corner of the mansion will have something to see or do or try,” says Saladino. “What a great way for couples to celebrate each other and have a bit of an adventure in this beautiful historic house. Love is definitely in the air at Ten Broeck Mansion.”

Tickets for the event are $125.00/couple, or $115.00/couple for ACHA members with proceeds going to support the Albany County Historical Association. (Individual tickets are also available at $75/$65.) They are available now to ACHA members and will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 25th at 9am. Before then, anyone wishing to join the ACHA and purchase advance sale tickets can find information on the ACHA website, www.tenbroeckmansion.org, or they can call the ACHA offices at (518) 436-9826.
