The Conference on New York State History is an annual meeting of academic and public historians, librarians and archivists, educators, publishers, and other interested individuals who come together to discuss topics and issues related to the people of New York State in historical perspective and to share information and ideas regarding historical research, programming, and the networking of resources and services.

Highlights include:
  • A Conversation with Ken Burns - film screening
    at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor Center, FDR Presidential Library and Museum, Hyde Park, NY
  • A Keynote Address by Libby O'Connell, Chief Historian and Senior VP, the History Channel and A&E Networks - "New York State's Table: Reaching New Audiences in History through Food and Drink"
  • Presentation by Harold Holzer - 
    "Lincoln, Politics, and the Press: The 1864 Election in New York" followed by a reception and book signing
