Waterways New York Conference

The New York Geographic Alliance is pleased to announce that we are planning special professional development opportunity for the summer of 2014. We call it the Waterways of New York Conference, and it will be held at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York on July 23 - 25, 2014.

The conference will have two strands, one for social studies (transportation, Erie Canal, Underground Railroad, etc.) and the other for science (water quality, environmental concerns, etc.). Teachers from all grade levels are invited to apply, and we also welcome informal educators (4-H, museum staff, etc.).

The details for the conference are still be worked out, so come back to this website in the spring to learn more. In the meantime, you can apply for the Waterways of New York Conference from the link on the right side of this page.
